Important Information for All Divisions:

  • ALL players MUST provide their own helmet with cage.
  • The season starts in mid-May and runs until mid-August.
  • All age groups are based on the calendar year (January to December).

U5 Coed (Born 2020-2021)

For boys and girls aged 4 and 5.

Nights of Play: Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Format: Players will practice basic softball skills and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities. The session will include a 30-minute practice followed by a 30-minute game using foam bats and various-sized balls for easier handling.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, and water bottle.

No umpires are used at this level.


U7 Coed (Born 2018-2019)

For boys and girls aged 6 and 7.

Nights of Play: Thursday evenings, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Format: Players will learn hitting, fielding, and throwing techniques. Coaches pitch to batters, followed by a tee if needed. The home team bats through their lineup, and then teams switch.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, and water bottle.

No umpires are used at this level.


U9 Coed (Born 2016-2017)

For boys and girls aged 8 and 9.

Nights of Play: Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Format: Pitching development begins at this level. Players are pitched 5 balls by a coach for the first 5 weeks. Starting in Week 6, players will pitch 3 balls, followed by 2 from the coach if needed. Outs and runs are tracked.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, and water bottle.

Junior umpires are provided.


U11 Girls (Born 2014-2015)

For girls aged 10 and 11.

Nights of Play: Tuesday evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Format: Players will pitch to the opposing team. The ball size is 11 inches. Runs are counted, and teams switch after 3 outs or 5 runs. Players rotate between infield and outfield positions.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.

Teams may travel to other towns in the York North Loop.


U11 Boys (Born 2014-2015)

For boys aged 10 and 11.

Nights of Play: Thursday evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Format: Similar to U11 Girls, with pitchers throwing to batters. Players rotate positions throughout the game.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.

Teams may travel to other towns in the York Simcoe Loop.


U13 Girls (Born 2012-2013)

For girls aged 12 and 13.

Nights of Play: Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Format: Pitching and base distances increase at this level. Teams will play in the York North Loop.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.

Select and Rep opportunities may be available.


U14 Boys (Born 2011-2013)

For boys aged 12 to 14.

Nights of Play: Thursday evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Format: Similar to U13 Girls. Teams participate in the York Simcoe Loop and may travel to other towns.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.

Select and Rep opportunities may be available.


U15 Girls (Born 2010-2011)

For girls aged 14 and 15.

Nights of Play: Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Format: Teams participate in the York North Loop. The ball size is 12 inches.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.

Select and Rep opportunities may be available.


U16+ Boys (Born 2004-2010)

For boys aged 16 and older.

Nights of Play: Monday & Thursday evenings, 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Format: This division plays in the York Simcoe Loop. Games may involve travel to towns like Bradford and East Gwillimbury.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.


U17+ Girls (Born 2004-2009)

For girls aged 17 and older.

Nights of Play: Wednesday evenings, 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Format: Similar to U15 Girls, with increased pitching distances. Teams participate in the York North Loop.

Required Equipment: Glove, helmet with cage, water bottle, and cleats are highly recommended.
